Sky Services among the beneficiaries of the STEP call by Regione Campania

Sky Services is among the companies admitted to funding under the PR Campania FESR 2021–2027 program, Action 1.6.1, dedicated to the development of critical and innovative technologies.

The funding, promoted by Regione Campania within the European STEP platform, supports high-tech projects in the fields of deep tech, digital innovation, and sustainability.

This framework also includes the urban planning procedures related to the development of the DACH-CAMP project – PR Campania FESR 2021-2027, Axis 1Bis, O.S. 1.6, Action 1.6.1 – Public call “Aid for the development and manufacturing of critical technologies STEP”.

Sky Services is developing two strategic initiatives shaping the future of aeronautics.

CertUAS Urban focuses on the development of certifiable unmanned aircraft systems designed to operate in complex urban environments, in full compliance with European regulations.
The system enables applications such as urban security, environmental monitoring, emergency management, and infrastructure inspection. It integrates artificial intelligence, advanced sensing technologies, and resilient connectivity through 5G and satellite networks, ensuring operational continuity even in critical scenarios.
The result is a drone designed for real urban deployment, combining safety, reliability, and regulatory readiness.

Alongside this, the Digital AeroHub Campania project introduces an advanced digital ecosystem for aeronautical maintenance and technical training.
The hub integrates fully paperless CAMO platforms, smart logbooks, immersive AR/VR training environments, IoT-based monitoring systems, and AI-driven document management.
This approach significantly reduces aircraft downtime, improves operational efficiency, enhances training quality, and lowers both costs and environmental impact.

Together, these two initiatives form a fully integrated system. While the drone operates in the field, the digital hub manages maintenance, data, and training processes, covering the entire operational lifecycle in a seamless and scalable way.

The projects contribute to strengthening urban safety, accelerating technological innovation in the aviation sector, reducing environmental impact, and creating new industrial opportunities at both regional and European level.
